Attleboro Bluefish Boosters' Club
 

The ABF Boosters' Club was founded in 1999. It is a non-profit parent run organization that assists the swim team by fund raising, coordinating social events, purchasing and maintaining equipment.

The sole purpose of the Boosters' Club is to make the swimming experience more fun for the swimmers and their parents. They develop and plan activities for the kids that will help boost our team spirit and involve every family.

All meetings and minutes will be posted in the members only section. Scroll to the far right on the menu to obtain meeting agenda's and minutes.

Some of the Club's goals include:
  • Planning social activities: 
    • Developing an Awards Banquet where all swimmers receive some type of award.
    • Planning more group activities:  holiday party, pizza party, spaghetti dinners, car washes, etc.
    • Planning more parent activities:  golf tournament, bake sale, raffles, coffee & donut hours
  • Improved communication:
    • Further developing the web site
    • Institute a regular team newsletter
    • Mailboxes and phone trees
  • Manage equipment:
    • Order and selection of team suits
    • Order and selection of club equipment, backpacks, bags, caps, t-shirts
  • Fundraising:
    • Develop more fundraising activities which will build a kitty to run more social events for swimmers and parents
    • Corporate donations - look to develop corporate donations that might lead to family credits or possible financial incentives

The ABF Swim Team will host 4 meets this year.  The food concessions at these meets are the main fundraising tool for the Boosters' Club. All proceeds from the concessions will go to the Boosters.

The Boosters' Club meetings are open to all parents.  We need 100% involvement from all families to be successful.  We want this to be a team project.   We have developed a "Founders Committee" that will be responsible to manage the Boosters.  Anyone who may want to be involved in this committee should contact The Founders Committee Coordinator.  All of our swimmers' parents are automatically members of the Boosters.
